ACADEMIC CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUEST FORM

Academic Schedule Change Add/Drop Window - Fall 2023 Semester
Add/Drop Window (forms must be received during this time to be considered):  Tues. 9/5 - Friday 9/15
Decisions will be emailed by:  Thursday 9/21
Approved changes go into effect by:  Mon. 9/25

This form is to submit any academic issues you are having with your academic classes (ELA, HP, Math, Science, language.)  For example, if you were placed in regular level classes but would like to challenge yourself in Honors, or feel you would do better in a different Spanish level, this is the form.  Submitting the form does not guarantee the change will be made, but we will reach out to confirm the result via email on the date specified.

    How Requests Are Considered
    1. Students must submit a schedule change form during the Add/Drop window in order to be considered for a change for the current semester.
    2. Ms. Bryant reviews your application for professionalism, writing, and college readiness - have a trusted adult proofread your application!
    3. Mr. Lim meets with students whose applications are high quality enough to be considered to discuss their class placements, and makes final decisions.
    • Switches are made for academic reasons.  If you are experiencing a social or behavioral issue with a peer, please inform a trusted staff member who can help you solve the problem with the support of the Admin team.  Because of TAPA's small size, we do not address social or behavioral issues with class changes.
    • We will be checking with your current teacher regarding your behavior and effort in the class.  If work completion or behavior is an issue, that will reduce the chances of a change being approved.
Tips for a Successful Application (read carefully)
Read all instructions carefully.  Proofread your spelling, capitalization (no lowercase "i"!) and use full sentences.  Have a trusted staff member look over your application before submitting.
